Lady Gaga's eccentric tendencies are no secret, but apparently the pop star is terrified of evil spirits. She has every hotel and tour venue scanned by a team of paranormal investigators before she will agree to stay there, according to Britain’s Grazia magazine. The 24-year-old singer, who has previously said she believes she is the reincarnated spirit of her dead aunt, has also allegedly splashed out $47,600 on state of the art Electro Magnetic Field meters to detect ghosts.

A source said: “She believes in paranormal activity and won’t take any risks when she is on the road. It’s important to her to be safe from spirits.”

Ghost-hunting equipment is not Gaga’s only extravagant purchase. The singer, who reportedly lost millions on her sold-out Monster Ball tour, spent $63,400 to hire a NASA trained chemist.

The flamboyant beauty splurged in order to discover a non–hot substance that would let steam out from a teacup-shaped dress.

Gaga has also spent $793,500 on private jets to transport her set equipment and wardrobe on the tour, $23,800 on hand crafted lace from Eastern Europe and $82,500 on a bath tub for her performance on UK TV talent show The X Factor last year.

She is reportedly eyeing up a British castle for her next purchase.
Urban Dictionary, the OED of our time, defines a "wingman" as a friend who helps you when you're out macking on the ladies. So we were rather surprised to learn that Justin Bieber, a kid who's got more ladies than a knitting convention, would consider a wingman necessary. But apparently he does. The Biebs recently told OK! that "Twilight" heartthrob Robert Pattinson would be his ideal wingman. "I love talking to girls and going on dates.... We should go to a few showbiz parties and see what happens," he said.

We have a pretty good idea of what would happen. The two of them would be pounced on by ravenous packs of swarming girls, ripping at their clothes, their hair, their flesh. They would have to fight their way through a sea of Twihards and Beliebers, all willing to sacrifice their lives for a touch of magical skin.
What we don't know is which guy would do best with the ladies. Both have enormous, obsessive followings, but they seem to appeal to different demos. Bieber's for the young girls who still like high-pitched voices and floppy hair. Pattinson's for older girls who like a beard and an accent. So why don't you tell us: Who would score more ladies, Rob or Justin?

With a little more than three weeks to go before his November 4 release date, Lil Wayne's Young Money/ Cash Money family is already planning a celebratory "Weezy Weekend." In a phone call to MTV's "The Seven," broadcast on Tuesday's (October 5) episode, Wayne revealed a surprising choice for a guest performer at a homecoming concert in his honor: the Material Girl."Madonna," Wayne deadpanned. Of course, he quickly added with a laugh, "That was a joke. It doesn't matter, man, I just want to see the fans and I want them to see me, that's all."The rapper also talked about how he looks forward to the piles of mail that fans send him.

"Honestly, I await the mail every day, just to open one up and see what somebody is saying. Reading the fan mail, man, you never expect what you see when you open those letters," Wayne said. "Somebody talking about, 'I have this incurable disease, but your music makes me feel like I don't even have a disease,' " he marveled. "You can't even believe it."

On Monday, the Grammy-winner was placed in solitary confinement stemming from a violation in May, when prison guards found he'd been keeping a pair of headphones and an MP3 player charger in his cell.
